The Synergy Baku Cycling Project continues its season with the four-day stage race Tour of Cartier – East Mediterranean Cycling Project on March 22-25, classified as a 2.2 race by the UCI. 

The four stages with a total distance of 403.31 km are all held around Alanya, starting with a 6.47 km time trial in the city itself. Stage 2 takes the peloton to the west on a 109.75 km course that contains some climbing in the first half before returning to Alanya on flat roads along the sea. The finish is at Alanya Castle at the top of a three-kilometre climb.

Stage 3 is the longest stage at 174.79 km. It uses the same parcours as the GP Alanya that was won by Kirill Pozdnyakov, going southeast near the coast before three laps of a circuit with a 3.5-km, 6.5-percent climb above the village of Kahyalar. After the last ascent, 32 kilometres remain to the finish in Alanya. Stage 4 consists of three laps of a seaside circuit for a total of 112.3 km. While it is flat, the roads could be exposed to wind.

In-form Oleksandr Polivoda and Samir Jabrayilov will lead the team, they will be supported by young riders Kanan Gahramanli, Karim Shiraliyev, and Telman Valiyev, as well as Elgun Alizada and Enver Asanov.
